This is a page I finished from Lifebook 2013. The page is a folded like an accordion. I had finished this one a while ago but forgot to post it. It was fun to work on.
The behind the scenes, personal development peice of this lesson was on grounding. We had to think of a song, or poetry that helps us to ground, or stay in the moment. For me at that time it was Mumford and Sons, "Awake My Soul", and Coldplay, " Paradise" ( or the Piano Guys version, "Peponi"). Those songs can really take me to a special place-they help me when I am up or down and inbetween.
Being grounded and focused on the present is not easy. It is something that takes practice. It is so easy to waste time on the could and should haves, or worrying about what will happen in the future. What happened, happened and what will happen, will happen-what is happening right now, now, and now is what matters and no matter what you are doing as long you are doing it in a way that aligns with how you feel (even if it means being a quirky bird) then you should feel content knowing you did the best you could with what today had on store.
What do you do or listen to to feel grounded in your life?
