Meet one of my muses. The muse of desire- desire to create, desire to be me, desire to grow, learn and transform, desire to connect.
The wonderful thing about this muse is I don't have to go very far to find her, because she is an inner muse.
The medicine she shared with me during her awakening is move on, even if you are afraid of what comes next. There were 2 major parts in the process where I did not want to move on even though I knew she was not finished- the first was the initial colour blocking
The second was after I covered her in a glaze.
In both circumstances I really liked the colours and the feel of the painting, but felt uncomfortable and unsure moving forward. Every time I went to add a colour I hated it and promptly wiped it off.
Luckily the Color of Woman teacher training has a wonderful support network. When I feel stuck the have art doctors to help. They are wonderful- usually their support inspires me with fresh ideas and reminds me I am on the right track.
Once the apple tree branches took form things really began to move. As I painted each leaf I was reminded that every leaf is a new idea, a different perspective- but all belonging to the same tree. The roses became clusters of apple blossoms, ideas in full bloom.
The vines moving ideas and life's stories down towards the crystal heart to be stored with love. The heart flame ignited and electrified with energy.
The butterflies floating around reminding me of beauty, transformation, and being free.
The red thread on her wrist ( as I am currently wearing) a symbol of connection to me, and all others I have met and have yet to meet.
At one point I thought she was finished, but the heart and the butterflies kept calling me.
Now she is complete and content in her meditation.
So many layers ( as Shrek would say like an onion). Everything that came before had to happen just as it did, or she would not be who she is today.
Thanks for reading my blog. Hope you have a beautiful day!
